I have used them for entertaining and they are great. The production period for the stemware is from 1928 to 1944. The inserts are very hard to find, especially the fruit cocktail inserts. The sets are very beautiful and ready for entertaining.
Each bottle is 2" square x 4-3/4 tall. This rare gorgeous set is illustrated in the book. These sets are very difficult to find with all of the pieces totally intact and in virtually mint condition as is the set here.
Sparkling Fostoria American punch bowl with tall base, large underplate, curved handled ladle and twelve delicate punch cups. Vintage set was made by Fostoria Glass Company in the mid -twentieth century in the United States. The clear glassware features the beautiful American pattern with the cubist design. This pattern introduced in 1915 continued to be produced by Lancaster Colony Company who purchased the Fostoria Glass Company in 1983, making it the most successful pattern in the history of glass making. The spectacular punch bowl has a flared edge. It rests on a tall flared base which sets on a beautiful large underplate. Around the base on the underplate is space for the twelve flat punch cups which feature straight rims and D handles. The clear acrylic ladle features a curved handle with silver trim and two pour spouts. It is vintage but not Fostoria. The pattern is crisp and the glass is clear and bright. There are no chips or cracks. The underplate has a scratch and some skuff marks in its center section which are not visible when covered by the punch bowl base. It also has a scratch on its outer edge and a bubble from the production process which are covered by the cups. See pictures. This elegant punch bowl set is perfect for special occasions and would add a luxurious touch to your serving table. This is your chance to add a dazzling piece of glassware to your collection or to complement the table setting at an upcoming special event you are planning.
