This is a very scarce five piece console set from the Fostoria Glass Company of Moundsville, WV. So far as we can tell it was only manufactured for one year in 1932. It consists of a #2466 "Plateau" bowl designed by Fostoria's most famous designer, George Sakier, and four #2266 candlesticks. The idea was to create a table centerpiece by placing a candlestick at each corner of the bowl (The photo section shows ads from 1932 editions of Crockery & Glass Journal and Good Housekeeping that depict suggested table settings).
