Get ready for your next celebration, holiday or Charcuterie Night of the Rich & Famous! Here are five rather rare fluted champagnes made by Fostoria, the original creator of this pattern. I'm not sure when these were manufactured, but considering that Fostoria closed in 1982 and that continental, or fluted champagnes were not really a thing until probably the later '70s it is easy to understand why though this pattern was made from 1936 until 1982 by Fostoria, (later produced by Lenox), it was probably only made in Moundsville for a few years. These are from a local estate that also had Fostoria Navarre goblets. These are perfect with no chips that I can find. Should you be interested in another two at a slightly reduced price, there were a couple that had small chips along the rim that my husband has ground down. This is a hobby for him and they are good, but not fire polished. Contact me and we can list them too. They will be double boxed with packing peanuts surrounding the inner box. Fostoria Bell Foot Compote in American pattern. Made in Fostoria, Ohio. Beautiful 'ring' to the glass. Glass is clear with no cracks. Produced 3 years, from 1979 to 1982. Fostoria glass has three lines for mold (see picture). I have been unable to find any other Fostoria compote with this size diameter base. 8" in diameter across the top; 6 1/2 inches tall; base is 4 1/2" inches in diameter. I do not have an exact number for the piece of Fostoria but the bell foot is unique and hard to find. This would make an outstanding item for your collection or to mix with other glassware. Beautiful pair of hard-to-find Fostoria crystal Sherry glasses with the Navarre etch on blank 6016. These were only made for 2 years from 1980-1982. They are 6 3/16â?³ high and hold about 6 oz. Acid etched Fostoria is on the bottom of both.
Very lovely set of 8 Vintage Fostoria Moonstone Pink Footed Iced Tea Glasses. Hexagon base, heavy pressed glass. 11 oz capacity.They measure approximately 6-1/2" tall, and have 3-3/8" diameter rims, 2-5/8" diameter hexagonal bases, and 1" ball stems. This set belonged to my mom and was displayed in a china/curio cabinet and rarely used. Purchased late-1970’s and discontinued in 1982. They are in excellent, crystal clear condition, with no detected chips or cracks. As stated in condition description, there are a few air pocket bubbles and one glass has a defect line-see last photo; it is not a crack and does not leak. This is a SAMPLE glass. It is truly unique as it is of the NAVARRE Master Etching, which did not have a production in Yellow / Gold Tint. It is the owner's understanding that circa 1982, an order for a dozen glasses in Yellow Navarre was taken and fulfilled. This is the 13th glass, being the sample for the factory and the other 12 went to the client who custom ordered them. Other than that order, this was not a production color for the Navarre pattern. This goblet can be seen in Juanita L Williams book "Fostoria Glass Scarce, Unique & Whimsies" on page 182 and 198. It can also be seen in her book "Fostoria Glass The Elegant and Master Etchings" on page 9, 123, 206 and 207. The Navarre pattern is a combination of trailing flowers and a floral medallion with scrolls. This glass has a classic elegant style, and the pattern is attributed to Designer Edgar Bottome. This was retrieved from the glass factory design morgue after it closed. This was made by The Fostoria Glass Company in Moundsville, West Virginia, USA. It measures approximately 7 3/4" in height & 3 1/2" in diameter. This is in very nice condition with a few tiny stray bubbles from manufacturing, as seen.
